Refund and Returns Policy

GoSouth Adventures offers private ocean experiences — each one reserved exclusively for your group. Because we allocate a private boat, captain, crew, and full preparation for every booking, our cancellation and refund policy reflects the real operational costs involved.

1. Standard cancellation: all year

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your scheduled tour: no penalty. Full refund issued.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled tour: 100% penalty. No refund.

All cancellation requests must be submitted by email to reservations@gosouthcr.com. A written confirmation will be sent once processed. Cancellations via WhatsApp or phone are not accepted as formal notice.

2. Peak season cancellations

During the following periods, a 72-hour notice is required:

— Easter week — Thanksgiving week — December 24 – January 5

Cancellations within 72 hours during these periods: 100% penalty. No refund.

3. Rescheduling

Rescheduling requested more than 48 hours before your tour: no penalty, subject to availability.

Rescheduling requested within 48 hours: 100% penalty applies. A new reservation must be made at full price for the desired new date.

4. GoSouth Adventures weather cancellations

GoSouth Adventures will cancel your tour with no penalty and issue a full refund in the following cases:

— Lightning and very heavy rain
— Hurricane
— Sustained winds over 25 knots
— National-level alert (tsunami or equivalent)

Light rain does not qualify for weather cancellation. Tours operate in light rain. If you cancel citing light rain within 48 hours of your tour, the standard 100% penalty applies.

5. Force majeure — client side

No penalty will be charged in the following cases, provided documentation is submitted:

Illness: requires a written diagnosis or medical report from a licensed physician. A hangover does not qualify.
Death of an immediate family member: requires supporting documentation.

Force majeure claims without documentation will not be accepted.

6. Flight cancellations and missed flights

If your flight is canceled due to a storm or severe weather in your country of origin: your tour will be rescheduled at no penalty, subject to availability.

If you miss your flight for any other reason and cannot make the tour: 100% penalty applies.

7. How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.

GoSouth Adventures processes refunds through the same BAC Credomatic gateway used for the original payment.

8. How to submit a cancellation

All cancellations must be submitted by email to: reservations@gosouthcr.com

Include in your email: your name, booking reference, tour date, and reason for cancellation. A confirmation will be sent within 24 hours.

For urgent situations, contact us on WhatsApp at +506 8387-1441 — but a formal email is still required for the cancellation to be processed.
